Formed in the summer of 2011, Butter and Egg Band is based out of Vancouver, Canada. We play traditional jazz and blues from prior to 1940 mostly. Our collective inspirations include everything from Sidney Bechet to Bessie Smith to Louis Armstrong to Duke Ellington to Louis Prima to Preservation Hall to Bix Beiderbecke and beyond.
